Ontario Premier Doug Ford has defended a Toronto police officer who gave the middle finger to a man who was videotaping her.

The man was trying to find out why the police officers’ car was parked in a no-parking zone.

He was filming what was happening through a camera built into his glasses. The police officers were unaware they were being filmed.

“Let’s support our police. Let’s thank them instead of putting on Google Glasses and trying to, harass the police, that’s what I call it. It was harassment,” Ford stated.

Ford called the secret recording “creepy.” “These guys walking around with Google glasses. I think it’s pretty creepy. Imagine a guy walking down the street and videotaping everything.”

Ontario’s premier said the man should have shaken the officers’ hands and bought them coffee for their work. “I support our police, and as far as I can tell, they’ve done nothing wrong. I just love them,” Ford stated.

The man who shot the video and posted it on social media site YouTube said he worked for the Toronto Police Service for 24 years. He recently retired. His YouTube page has numerous videos of other confrontations with officers. In an interview with Newstalk 1010, he said he started the YouTube channel to “expose” the “few” officers who are not doing their jobs well.

Toronto police have confirmed they are investigating the incident.

  • American bird farmer Taylor Blake reached out to the Irwin clan for help after she thought her prized emu contracted avian influenza
  • Bindi Irwin responded, sending her ‘love and prayers’ to the farm but said she and her team had no experience dealing with the disease
  • Some fans slammed her response, branding it ‘pathetic and useless’
  • But others praised her for supporting and responding to Taylor
  • Taylor also thanked Bindi for taking the time to write back, saying ‘her response alone means more than you know’

Bindi Irwin has been slammed by cruel trolls for her response to an American farm owner’s plea for help after she lost 99% of her birds to avian influenza.

Taylor Blake, also known as Eco Sister on Twitter, sent a desperate message to the Irwin clan last week after she thought her beloved emu and TikTok fan favourite Emmanuel had contracted the virus.

She offered to fly any of their contacts or members of the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital to her Knuckle Bump Farm in South Florida to help save Emmanuel.

Bindi responded by saying she wasn’t able to provide too much support because the team at the hospital had never treated birds with avian flu, but did send her ‘love and prayers’ to the farm.

Taylor thanked Bindi for replying, writing: ‘Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, Bindi your response alone means more than you know. Please send my love to your family!’

But some fans flocked to social media to slam Bindi’s response, with one calling it ‘pathetic’ and ‘useless’.

‘What a pathetic, useless reply. Zero effort to help when you’re in a supposedly unique position to use your influence and contacts to actually help her. Thoughts and prayers are cheap. You are unimpressive and that’s being polite,’ they said.

‘Thoughts and prayers are nice, but is there not someone you could recommend, given your family has been in this field for years?’ another agreed.

A third person wrote: ‘So you don’t know of anyone in your network who could help? One would assume it wouldn’t be hard for you to ask around or spread the word in the hopes someone with the right experience comes forward, rather than writing this form[al] letter response pretending you care.’

While some fans criticised Bindi, others praised her for supporting and responding to Taylor.

‘I’m sure just the response lifted spirits of recovery for Emmanuel. That’s all one could even hope for,’ one person said.

‘I think it is so cool that Bindi Irwin replied. Still praying for Emmanuel,’ another agreed.

‘Thank you Irwins. We are all [praying] for Emmanuel. He is deeply loved around the world,’ a third said.

In recent years, the question of the future of work and the need to work has become a growing issue for many Australians. With advances in technology, a changing economy and increasing automation, some experts are asking the question: is work in the traditional sense of the word becoming obsolete, and do Australians really no longer need to work?

Changes in the economy

The Australian economy, pulled by the global trend, is increasingly service-oriented and intelligent labor oriented. In areas such as information technology, artificial intelligence and digital marketing, machines and algorithms are taking over many tasks previously performed by humans. According to research, it is expected that about 40% of jobs in Australia could be automated by 2030.

The development of remote working

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly accelerated the shift to remote working. Many companies have realized that employees can effectively perform their duties from home, opening up new opportunities for career advancement and a better quality of life. As a result, many Australians have begun to rethink their working lives, opting for flexible schedules or part-time options.

Increased social assistance

Social support systems such as unemployment benefits and superannuation are growing in importance. With traditional jobs becoming less available, more and more people are considering earning an income through various social programs, allowing them to be independent of a permanent job.

New approaches to life and career

Another important aspect that is changing the perception of work is changing values and priorities. Modern Australians are increasingly prioritizing work-life balance. Plenty of people are abandoning traditional careers in favor of more interesting and projective hobbies, freelancing and entrepreneurship.

Challenges and consequences

However, despite the positive changes, there are also challenges. The loss of jobs in certain sectors can lead to social inequality and increased unemployment. Moreover, the issue of equitable distribution of resources and income transfer is a concern among residents.

Australia is not only famous for its spectacular landscapes, but also for some of the largest insects on the planet. But what does this have to do with the lives of the country’s inhabitants?

Australia’s isolated geographical location has contributed to the evolution of many species, including large insects. A variety of climatic zones, from tropical to desert, provide ideal conditions for their growth and reproduction.

The rich flora and fauna offer extensive food sources, which also affects Australians’ standard of living. For example, the presence of large insects can affect the agricultural sector, especially farming, where some can be both pests and beneficial pollinators.

Rod Stewart fans are furious after the singer allegedly ran off stage during a performance in Plymouth.

The legendary musician performed at Home Park Stadium on Saturday night to kick off his summer tour of the United Kingdom.

The 78-year-old rocker’s performance, however, seemed to be cut short when there was silence on stage at 10:30.

It was apparently due to a strict curfew in the venue, but stunned fans were quick to complain.

One fan described how after attending a Rod Stewart concert last night he finished his penultimate song, ‘We Are Sailing’, but was told it was 10.30pm and he could not continue. With those words, Rod stormed off stage, leaving the concert in the dark, only to be told that the Lord Mayor had stopped him. The fans, naturally, were stunned and disappointed at the same time.

A man dressed in black came on stage and told Rod to leave because of the curfew. Of course, Rod quickly left and the lights came back on. No farewell to the fans, no encore came out. Everyone was stunned by the abrupt and rude ending to an incredible concert.

Fans are wondering who was the man in black who asked Rod to leave the stage and why, even though he was asked to end the concert, Stewart can’t say goodbye first?

Fans sympathize with what Stewart went through, but then they couldn’t understand how he personally could be so rude. And neither could his crew.

British rocker Rod Stewart broke an unwritten rule of the show business world and criticized his fellow singers. Among the objects of criticism of the honored artist of Scotland were two Sirs (Paul McCartney and Elton John) and one defender of rainforests (Sting). Rod Stewart didn’t like the fact that only his love affairs were being discussed.
Mr. Stewart’s angry tirade, which he unleashed in an interview with Radio Times magazine, stemmed from the deep hurt he had suffered from discussions of his infatuations with women who could be his daughters. The 58-year-old singer’s most recent fling, model Penny Lancaster, is a full 26 years younger than him. However, according to Rod Stewart, this age difference does not affect their relationship at all – they still love each other tenderly.
Especially Mr. Stewart was outraged by the fact that no one thinks to condemn, for example, Sir Paul McCartney for the fact that he married young. “Normally I don’t pay attention to what other people say. But it really hurt me that no one is penalizing Paul McCartney for marrying Heather Mills. He’s 60 and Heather’s 34. For some reason, everyone is turning on me,” complained Rod Stewart, ‘Maybe it’s because McCartney was knighted…’.

The offended singer also said that he himself never received this honor, although he sold more than 100 million CDs during his career. “I don’t know why I’ve never been honored with anything. I also give money to charity,” – perplexed Mr. Stewart. In addition, the singer complained that he has not yet received the Grammy Award, the highest music award in the United States. “They don’t usually give them to Brits, unless of course you’re Sting”. As it turns out, Rod Stewart doesn’t think very highly of Sting and dismissively refers to him as “Mr. Idea Guy, saving the Indians,” alluding to Sting’s work to save the Amazon rainforest. “Everybody thinks he’s got light coming out of his ass, but he’s just a jazz musician,” Mr. Stewart finished his rant.

Emily lives in Sydney with her husband Liam and their young daughter. But just a few months ago they were on the verge of bankruptcy after the airline she worked for had to let most of their staff go. Emily lost her job and the couple were about to get evicted.

Emily took a cleaning job, working endless hours as a cleaner, to help out her family and within a few months she was a millionaire with $1,320,000 in her bank account. Here’s Emily’s story.

Emily explains: In March things at the airline were so bad a lot of flights were cancelled due to the global crisis. It was a very emotional time for most of us. We didn’t know what would happen until they let most of us go.

My husband thought that we wouldn’t survive financially because nobody would go on holidays or business trips for the near future in these scary times.

“I signed a contract to go to work as a cleaner. It didn’t pay much but it was better than not earning anything. It was hard working as a cleaner after my job as a flight attendant for Qantas while my husband was at home with our kid. I missed travelling and my friends at Qantas , but I had no choice. Up to that point I worked as a flight attendant and had no idea what was waiting for me as a cleaner.

The good thing was they were in need of workers, so I managed to get a job as soon as I arrived there. First couple of weeks were hard but the thought of my family kept me going and nothing would stop me from earning my wages.

I knew that just my paycheck wouldn’t be enough to get us out of financial trouble and I was determined to find a way to get us out of debt. I needed more money than my job was paying.

I was spending my free time browsing various Facebook groups looking for job offers when I came across tips on how to make money online with courses. I was never a math girl but it seemed simple enough, so I decided to give it a try.

Sam Kerr was taken into police custody after allegedly racially harassing a police officer during a boozy night out in London in January last year, court documents have revealed.

The Mail exclusively revealed that the 30-year-old was charged and entered a not guilty plea on March 4, with a four-day criminal trial set for February 2025.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed that the incident, which took place on January 30, 2023, was sparked by a dispute over a taxi fare before Kerr allegedly used insulting, threatening or abusive words that caused alarm or distress to the officer.

The court documents also reveal that the Matildas star’s legal team are seeking footage from police body cameras so they can use it as evidence in her defence.

Kerr’s barrister Grace Forbes has asked the prosecution for video of what was described in court as a ‘very short incident’ and CCTV footage from outside the police station ‘where the contact began and within the custody suite’, according to a News Corp report.

In the UK, the term ‘custody suite’ is used to refer to an area in a police station or other building where people are held after being arrested.

Forbes told the court that she wants access to two clips from police body cameras, saying: ‘Those instructing me have attempted to contact the prosecution about this but have not received a response.’

The barrister said she raised the issue because she is aware that ‘with CCTV, there may be time limits on that where it is automatically deleted’.
