In 2020, Jane Lois was working in a restaurant. Now the 25-year-old former waitress earns $70000 a year and shares photos of her chic new life on social media.
“I lost my parents early and lived with my grandmother. From the age of 15, I worked as a waitress at a local restaurant,” says Jane. “I knew I couldn’t go to college after high school, so I kept working full-time to earn money for college.”
But like millions of people around the world, Jane suddenly found herself unemployed in 2020.
“The restaurant where I was working went bankrupt because of the pandemic. The owner announced we were laid off just before the restaurant closed.”
Jane found herself at home looking for work.
“I panicked and looked for 16 hours a day. There was nothing I could do, I was only working as a waitress, but all the restaurants and bars were closed. And the ones that were somehow keeping afloat didn’t need new employees. It seemed like I would never find a new place – there was just no work anywhere.”
During sleepless nights, Jane went over every possible option in her head, even the most fantastic ones.
“One night I remembered about programming courses that could help me learn a new profession. I knew very little about them and didn’t understand how they worked.
For a few days Jane read Facebook comments, Twitter tracks and forums discussing it. That’s where she learned about a course that offered online training.
“Some guy was bragging about taking a course and starting to make $50,000 dollars working remotely. By then Jane was so desperate that she decided to give it a try. Jane paid for the course and started learning.
“I was very nervous. I didn’t understand anything at all. But my personal manager contacted me immediately and explained everything very clearly.”
“After 30 days I was able to earn my first money . I immediately gave the money to my grandmother and told her I had found a job online. A month later I bought my first Louis Vuitton handbag, which I had wanted for a long time but could not afford”
“My grandmother is very proud of me,” says the 25-year-old with a smile. – Now I can live the life I want to live.”
Jane’s story proves that everyone, regardless of gender, age or previous experience, can change their lives.
